Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to hosting, DNS, VPN and related setup services provided by Tech-Bytes.
VPN and DNS filtering acceptable use
VPN and DNS filtering services must not be used for unlawful activity, harassment, abuse, unauthorised access, malware distribution, spam, evasion of lawful restrictions or enforcement, circumvention of contractual or security controls, or activity that could damage the service or other users. Access may be suspended where necessary to protect the service, comply with law, or investigate abuse.
You must not use our services for
- Illegal activity or content, including fraud, scams, phishing, malware, botnets, unauthorised access, credential theft, harassment or abuse.
- Spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, mail bombing, address harvesting or running open relays/proxies without permission.
- Copyright, trade mark or other intellectual property infringement.
- Distributed denial-of-service activity, stress testing, port scanning or vulnerability scanning of systems you do not own or have written permission to test.
- Hosting or distributing child sexual abuse material, terrorist content, extremist content where unlawful, or other seriously harmful illegal material.
- Activities that interfere with our network, other customers, upstream providers, domain registries or the public internet.
- Using VPN, DNS or hosting services to hide unlawful conduct, evade enforcement, bypass contractual restrictions, or interfere with third-party systems.
Security requirements
- Keep applications, plugins, themes, credentials and keys secure and up to date, and only provide credentials that you are authorised to share.
- Use strong passwords and multi-factor authentication where available.
- Tell us promptly about suspected compromise, abuse reports or security incidents affecting the service.
Resource use
You must not use excessive CPU, memory, storage, bandwidth or network resources in a way that harms service stability or other customers. Any fair-use limits or plan-specific limits will be set out in your service agreement or quote.
Abuse reports and takedown
Report abuse to hdaryl@hotmail.co.uk. We may investigate, remove or disable content, restrict traffic, suspend services, preserve evidence, notify relevant providers or authorities, or terminate services where appropriate.
Changes
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, suppliers, legal obligations or security requirements.
