Tech-Bytes is a new, independent sole-trader business. We focus on honest advice, clear communication and realistic expectations rather than one-size-fits-all solutions. Before any paid work starts, we will agree the scope, price, support arrangements, third-party dependencies and any service limits in writing, so you know what is included and what is not included.
Tech-Bytes is the trading name of Daryl Hunter, a sole trader in England and Wales. Business correspondence address is provided on quotes, invoices or contract paperwork where needed. Email: hdaryl@hotmail.co.uk. VAT status: Not VAT registered.
The information on this website is for general information and initial enquiry purposes. Package descriptions are not binding offers. A contract is only formed when we have agreed the scope, price, payment terms and start date in writing.
Tech-Bytes is operated independently by Daryl Hunter as a sole-trader activity. Unless confirmed in writing, Tech-Bytes is not connected with, endorsed by, or acting for any employer, supplier, previous client or third-party brand. Work is carried out using Tech-Bytes time, tools and accounts, not employer systems, confidential information, client relationships, supplier access, internal documentation, proprietary scripts, restricted materials or third-party credentials. If an enquiry appears to conflict with an employment, supplier, client, confidentiality or other legal obligation, Tech-Bytes may decline the work.
We provide small-site hosting, simple website care, DNS setup guidance, managed VPN/DNS-filtering options for compatible personal devices, and Raspberry Pi/home-lab setup. The exact service description, support level, billing period, renewal terms, usage limits, exclusions and third-party dependencies will be set out in your quote, order, statement of work or service agreement. Tech-Bytes does not provide MSP-style business IT support, business network support, Microsoft 365 administration, cybersecurity management or support for employer/customer systems. VPN and DNS-filtering services do not guarantee anonymity, complete security, uninterrupted access, malware protection or access to every website or online service.
If you are a consumer buying at a distance, you may have a 14-day cancellation right. If you ask us to start work, provide a service, or supply digital content during the cancellation period, we will ask for any express request and acknowledgement required by law. You may have to pay for services supplied up to cancellation, and you may lose cancellation rights for certain digital content or completed services where the law allows.
If you buy for business purposes, consumer cancellation rights may not apply. Your cancellation, renewal and termination rights will be set out in the agreed service terms.
Domains, DNS, SSL certificates, CDN, payment, email, hosting, VPN and other supporting services may depend on third-party suppliers. Their terms, availability, pricing, acceptable-use rules and policies may also apply. We are not responsible for third-party outages, blocking, policy changes, account suspensions or price changes outside our reasonable control.
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, you keep ownership of your own content and materials. We retain ownership of pre-existing tools, templates, know-how and reusable code. Rights in final deliverables will be handled as set out in the agreed quote or statement of work.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, for business customers our liability will be limited to the amount paid for the relevant service during the previous 3 months or the project fee, whichever is higher, unless a different limit is agreed in writing. We are not liable for indirect losses, loss of profits, loss of business, loss of data or service interruptions except where the law does not allow this exclusion.
We may suspend or terminate services where invoices are unpaid, security risks arise, the service is misused, law or regulation requires it, or the Acceptable Use Policy is breached. Where reasonable, we will give notice before suspension.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer law gives you additional rights.
